Some Liverpool Fans Have Gone Full Blown MI6 Over A Potential Transfer

With just two days of the summer transfer window remaining, a section of Liverpool fans have changed the transfer game forever in their hope that their club are securing a new signing, today.

The Anfield club are enjoying a busy last few days of activity, sealing a club record deal for RB Leipzig midfielder Naby Keita and launching a bid for Monaco winger Thomas Lemar, although the uncertainty over Philippe Coutinho's future is casting a lengthy shadow over proceedings.

Attacking reinforcements aside, it's no secret that Jurgen Klopp's defence desperately needs reinforcing and it would have been, had Liverpool not had to issue a grovelling public apology to Southampton over their pursuit of Dutchc centre-half Virgil van Dijk, earlier this summer.

The Anfield club's approach for the former Celtic man was reported to the Premier League by the Saints, with relationships between the two clubs seemingly breaking down over the collapsed deal. However, that still hasn't been enough to deter some Reds fans from being convinced that van Dijk could still be arriving on Merseyside before midnight on Thursday.

In fact, some fans have gone above and beyond with their theories, including this lad, who has erupted a thread of peak football Twitter with his knowledge of official club cars.

We're not quite sure what we did to deserve this thread, but we're eternally grateful that it hapened. Bless up, football Twitter.
