Dunfermline climbed to the top of the Ladbrokes Championship after a decisive 4-0 win at winless Dumbarton.
Joe Cardle opened the scoring for the Pars in the fifth minute when Declan McManus raced clear and cut the ball back for Callum Smith, whose shot was cleared, but Cardle slotted home on the follow-up.
Kallum Higginbotham added the second just before the half-hour mark, with Cardle this time providing the assist.
Dumbarton were reduced to 10 men in the 77th minute when Sons captain Andy Dowie was sent off for his second bookable offence, with Nicky Clark and Andy Ryan both taking advantage by scoring late goals.
