The midfielder is now working as a pundit for BT Sport after a glittering career at Stamford Bridge, becoming the club’s all-time top goalscorer with 211 in all competitions.
And he couldn’t hide his club allegiances when giving his prediction for this year’s top six.
Speaking to Arsenal Fan TV, Lamps was confident Chelsea would be able to retain their title, even if manager Antonio Conte is not conviced they are favourites.
He said: “I think they’re going to sign a couple of players and I think as long as Hazard gets fit and firing.
Chelsea legend Frank Lampard picked his former club to win the Premier League again
"They have the best set-up. They’re organised. The back three are brilliant and defend better than anyone.”
The former West Ham man believes Manchester City will come second based on their array of attacking options.
Former manager Jose Mourinho’s Manchester United is his pick for third.
And Frank is bound to disappoint Arsenal fans as he picked North London rivals Tottenham Hotspur to clinch the final Champions League place.
With Arsenal coming in fifth again, Lampard had Jurgen Klopp’s side come in a disappointing sixth, despite making the top four last term.
Whether Liverpool will improve on that finish could depend on whether they keep Philippe Coutinho amid the ongoing transfer saga with Barcelona.
