HEART: Away fans are what give the Premier League such a good atmosphere
As part of the Twenty’s Plenty campaign, followers of visiting sides in the Premier League will be able to claim back up to £10 from Virgin Media.
The fixtures, all later this month, include Southampton v Man City, Man Utd v Chelsea and Liverpool v Crystal Palace.
Brigitte Trafford, from Virgin Media, said: “Away fans are at the heart of the game and their tickets need to be affordable.
"Without them the atmosphere in grounds is reduced and their teams don’t feel supported.
"We want to be part of a positive change for Premier League football fans across the country and are stepping up by subsidising away tickets to £20.”
FRUSTRATED: Fans across the country have staged protests against high ticket prices
The campaign started in 2013 and demos have been held by fans fed-up with forking out large sums for away games.
Supporters of teams affected by the FA Cup during the promotion will be able to apply for their money after any rescheduled games.
Kevin Miles, boss of the FSF, said: “The Football Supporters’ Federation has a long-standing rallying cry – Twenty’s Plenty for Away Tickets.
EXPENSIVE: The current cap on away tickets is £30
"We’re delighted Virgin Media has helped make that a reality.
"Thanks to this Twenty’s Plenty deal, tens of thousands of top- flight fans could potentially save hundreds of thousands of pounds.”
