Some late transfer activity means Blackpool manager Gary Bowyer has new additions in his squad for the visit of Colchester.

Although he has lost captain Danny Pugh, who joined Port Vale, Bowyer did manage to bring in midfielders Neil Danns and Jordan Flores on loan from Bury and Wigan respectively.

Radcliffe Borough striker Raul Correia has joined on a permanent basis and will provide back up to the likes of Nathan Delfouneso, who returns after being cup-tied last weekend.

Defender Kelvin Mellor is suspended after his sending-off in the FA Cup defeat to Blackburn and Bowyer is still waiting on the fitness of Kyle Vassell and Brad Potts, who have missed the last two matches.

Play-off chasing Colchester return to league action for the first time since January 21, and manager John McGreal could include a trio of late transfer signings.

Striker Rekeil Pyke joined from Huddersfield on loan, goalkeeper Dean Brill arrived on a free transfer after leaving Scottish side Hearts and midfielder Sean Murray has come in from Swindon.

Midfielder Owen Garvan will be assessed on a knee injury he sustained in training before the Exeter match.

Left-back Lewis Kinsella continues his recovery from a long-term foot injury, while forward Sammie Szmodics (ankle) and club captain Luke Prosser (knee) both remain sidelined.
