Guingamp 2 - 1 Marseille: Guingamp continue impressive start with home win over Marseille
Posted Sunday, August 21, 2016 by PA
Yannis Salibur and Jeremy Sorbon both found the net as Guingamp stretched their unbeaten start to the Ligue 1 campaign with a 2-1 win over Marseille.
Salibur's first-minute goal stunned the visitors, who never fully recovered from that early setback.
Marseille goalkeeper Yohann Pele was at fault for the opener, which came after just 32 seconds of play.
Sorbon then turned in Lucas Deax's near-post cross just ahead of the hour, to double the hosts' advantage.
Florian Thauvin handed Marseille hope with a late goal, but his side remain winless in the league after three matches this term.
