Wycombe Wanderers 1 - 0 Mansfield Town: Michael Harriman nets winner as Wycombe edge past Mansfield

Michael Harriman's fortuitous strike was enough for Wycombe as they beat Mansfield at Adams Park.

The winger's left-footed cross eluded everyone in the 68th minute to find the bottom corner and condemn Adam Murray's side to their fourth 1-0 defeat in five Sky Bet League Two matches.

Wycombe's Paul Hayes went closest to breaking the deadlock early on as he drove narrowly wide from 25 yards.

At the other end an incisive through ball from Matty Blair released Chris Clements, who prodded a tame effort straight at Ryan Allsop.

Wycombe should have been ahead shortly after half-time when defender Jason McCarthy latched onto a loose ball inside the six-yard box, but he struck wide.

Harriman, though, snatched a lucky winner when he collected a high ball wide on the right, jinked past his marker and sent a curling cross towards Hayes.

The Wycombe captain failed to connect with the ball which skipped off the turf and nestled in the bottom-right corner to secure a win which lifted the Chairboys up to seventh.
