Scunthorpe United vs Chesterfield - Scunthorpe welcome back Stephen Dawson for Chesterfield game
Posted Friday, March 18, 2016 by PA
Scunthorpe skipper Stephen Dawson is set to return for the Sky Bet League One clash with Chesterfield.
The midfielder sat out the 2-2 draw with Shrewsbury last Saturday with a knock but returned to full training during the week.
Sean McAllister is sidelined after sustaining a knock in training on Tuesday but fellow midfielder Dominic Vose is available after overcoming illness.
Scott Wiseman is the only other absentee, with the defender expected to miss the rest of the season as he undergoes an operation to remove a bone growth.
Dion Donohue is suspended for Chesterfield after his red card last weekend.
He begins a three-match ban and could be replaced by either Declan John, who has extended his loan spell from Cardiff, or the fit-again Charlie Raglan.
Changes elsewhere will be kept to a minimum, although striker Sylvan Ebanks-Blake will be pushing for a recall.
Midfielder Chris Herd is nearing a return from a hip problem but left-back Dan Jones has suffered a setback in his recovery from an ankle injury and is set for a prolonged spell on the sidelines.
