Nice 2 - 1 Lorient: Vincent Koziello seals a Nice comeback

Posted Sunday, January 24, 2016 by PA

Nice came from behind to extend their unbeaten Ligue 1 run to five games with a 2-1 win against Lorient.

The hosts found themselves a goal down on 24 minutes when Benjamin Jeannot picked out Yann Jouffre and he sent a first-time effort beyond Yoan Cardinale.

Despite falling behind, Nice turned the game on its head in nine first-half minutes thanks to a neat finish from Hatem Ben Arfa before Vincent Koziello's confident first-time volley from Valerie Germain's delivery sent the hosts in front.

Lorient almost stole a point with added time looming but, after being picked out by Lamine Gassama, Maxime Barthelme dragged a shot agonisingly wide from inside the area.
