Northampton Town vs Portsmouth - Northampton set to keep the faith against Portsmouth

Northampton are likely to name the same team that took them to the top of the League Two table with a 4-3 win over Luton last time out.

Portsmouth are the visitors to Sixfields and Cobblers boss Chris Wilder has no new injury problems, although Ricky Holmes, a substitute in the last two games, is still not ready to start.

The winger missed three and a half months with a back injury but has made an impact off the bench, not least by scoring the winner against Luton.

Wilder said in the Northants Herald and Post: "He'd love to play against his old team. Everyone can see the boost he's given us in his last two appearances coming off the bench. When he had the ball he was okay, but when he didn't he was chasing his second breath, so he's a little bit off starting."

Portsmouth are without Christian Burgess after he damaged ankle ligaments in last week's win over Hartlepool.

Matt Clarke is expected to replace him on Saturday, with Burgess expected to be out until Portsmouth face Accrington next month.

Paul Jones remains unavailable for the coming weeks following keyhole surgery.

There has, however, been progress made by Gary Roberts and Matt Tubbs, who are nearing first-team returns.
