Mainz 2 - 1 Eintracht Frankfurt: Yoshinori Muto & Yunus Malli hand Mainz victory against Frankfurt

Mainz are on the brink of the Bundesliga top six after winning 2-1 against 10-man Eintracht Frankfurt on Saturday.

Yoshinori Muto gave Mainz a flying start after five minutes and the match played further into the home team's hands when Frankfurt captain Alexander Meier picked up his second yellow card of the game in the 40th minute.

Just two minutes after Meier's dismissal, Yunus Malli added a second, suggesting that it was going to be an easy win for Martin Schmidt's men.

Haris Seferovic had other ideas, though, and he made things interesting with a goal on the hour mark.

But for all of the Eagles' efforts, they could not find an equaliser as they fell six points behind their local rivals.
