Alloa Athletic 0 - 3 Livingston: Liam Buchanan comes back to haunt Alloa as Livingston move off foot of table

Liam Buchanan scored twice against his former club as Livingston won 3-0 at Alloa to climb off the foot of the Scottish Championship.

Buchanan, who left Alloa to join the Lions in the summer, netted either side of a Jordyn Sheerin goal to lift Livingston above their opponents in the table.

Home goalkeeper David Crawford tipped a Ben Gordon effort over the crossbar early on but there was little he could do to stop Buchanan smashing home the ball from close range midway through the first half.

Alloa almost equalised on the stroke of half-time but Mikk Reintam's looping header was cleared off the line by Jackson Longridge.

Sheerin got on the end of Ross Millen's long diagonal pass and fired the ball into the roof of the net after 59 minutes before Buchanan raced clear and finished calmly with 12 minutes remaining to leave his old club bottom of the table.
