Greenock Morton vs Dumbarton preview - Luca Gasparotto back from Canada duty to boost injury-hit Morton

Morton welcome back Luca Gasparotto to their squad but will be without the injured Mark Russell, Frank McKeown and Joe McKee for their home game against Dumbarton.

Gasparotto has been on international duty with Canada, while Russell and McKeown are both out with knee injuries and McKee is struggling with a hamstring problem. Peter MacDonald will have a late fitness test.

Manager Jim Duffy said: "The sides met earlier this season in the Petrofac Cup and Dumbarton won 3-2, but both line-ups have changed quite a bit since that day so that result does not tell you too much.

"We have had a decent run of results in games played away from home and it would be good to start winning at home."

Dumbarton will include on-loan Hamilton striker Eamonn Brophy in their squad and he will feature at some stage, according to boss Stephen Aitken.

Willie Gibson and Stevie Ross are both injury doubts and Jamie Lindsay is still out following groin surgery.

Aitken said: "I cannot fault the players for the effort they are putting into training to get us going again.

"We are creating chances, but not putting them away has been disappointing and needs to change. Hopefully that will happen at Morton."
