Wigan Athletic vs AFC Bournemouth preview - Trio set for Latics bow

Wigan could hand their trio of deadline-day signings a slice of the action against high-flying Bournemouth on Saturday.

Sheyi Ojo, Gaetan Bong and Leon Clarke all arrived on Monday with boss Malky Mackay eager to reshuffle his squad.

Goalkeeper Ali Al Habsi will be hoping to keep his place after keeping a clean sheet against Ipswich last weekend, his first appearance in the league since November 2014.

Defenders Jason Pearce and Liam Ridgewell are both expected to line up against their former club.

Bournemouth will be without Eunan O'Kane after he was on the receiving end of a horror tackle in their 2-0 win over Watford last Friday.

Daniel Pudil's late challenge on the Irishman saw O'Kane suffer a ligament strain which is set to sideline him for over a month, leaving boss Eddie Howe short of midfield cover.

Dan Gosling is already sidelined with an ankle injury and it could be two to three weeks before the former Everton man is available again.

Centre-back Baily Cargill remains sidelined with a hip injury but South African striker Tokelo Rantie is back from international duty although he will have to settle for a place on the bench with Howe likely to keep the faith with the side that saw off the Hornets.
