David Beckham was involved a car accident but suffered no serious consequences, after picking up his son Brooklyn from a match with the Arsenal youth team.
Neither Beckham nor his eldest son, 15-year-old Brooklyn, were injured, but they did have to leave the scene in a different vehicle to the Audi the former England captain was driving, which it seems deployed the airbag as a result of the collision with another vehicle.
Some witnesses present at the scene of the accident stated that Beckham and his son appeared "very shaken up" after the accident.
A Brighton youth team player, Thomas Cadman wrote on Twitter: "Weird to play against Brooklyn Beckham earlier. Even weirder to be currently stuck behind David Beckham as he has crashed his car."
Another teenager from the team, Archie Davis wrote: "Just seen David Beckham looks like he got in a car crash and hurt his shoulder."
The 39-year-old former Manchester United, Real Madrid, Milan, PSG and Los Angeles Galaxy player, was at the Arsenal training ground to watch the Gunners' under 16s, which his son plays for, in a match against Brighton which ended 3-3.
Brooklyn signed for Arsenal's youth team in November, whilst his brothers, Romeo, twelve, and Cruz, nine also play for the London club.
