MANCHESTER UNITED legend Cristiano Ronaldo has returned to Old Trafford...on international duty with Portugal.
The Real Madrid star trained in Manchester with national side this evening ahead of tomorrow's friendly against Argentina.
The clash sees Ronaldo come up against familiar foe Lionel Messi, is set to captain the south Americans.
Ronaldo is favourite to retain the Ballon d'Or trophy for the world’s best player.

But Argentina coach Gerardo Martino reckons Messi is the superior player.

"I cannot separate sentiment from my objective decision. Whatever season Messi had on footballing grounds, I would still vote for him.”

Ronaldo is sure to have the backing of the 'home' fans, with the 29-year-old regarded as all-time United great after his six years of service between 2003 and 2009.
Nani, who enjoyed a less successful spell at the club before being loaned to Sporting Lisbon earlier this summer, also took part in training.
