Real Sociedad vs Getafe preview - Sociedad look to kick-start season

Real Sociedad midfielder David Zurutuza insists his side will be ready to kick-start their stuttering La Liga campaign against Getafe on Monday night.

Jagoba Arrasate's men have lost four of their opening seven matches, with just one victory, albeit at home over Real Madrid.

Two points from a possible 15 have left Sociedad as one of several clubs bunched at the wrong end of the Primera Division standings.

Zurutuza, though, is confident the players can return to action in positive form following the international break.

"The past few days have allowed us to reflect on what has been going wrong; the past week has been useful to recharge our batteries, to think about our objectives and most of all to focus on Monday's game," Zurutuza said, quoted by the club's official website, www.realsociedad.com.

"Once you start winning, the past is forgotten and everyone is happy again. That is what we always work towards.

"Obviously it is always nicer to win and play well, but right now we really need to win so that we can start a good run - if we can string together a few decent results and pick up points in our next matches, that will give us the push we need."

Getafe, meanwhile, have also endured an indifferent start to the new season, but will be looking to build on their win over Malaga and draw against Cordoba before the international break.

Manager Cosmin Contra is hopeful his squad will be able to continue where they left off a fortnight ago.

He said on www.getafecf.com: "We have worked well during these days, and have to show again what we did in the last match, where we had the right attitude.

"The only thing we missed was a (winning) goal, but we have been able to generate a lot of chances.

"Sociedad have a very good team, with high-quality players in the central positions, so that will of course make them very dangerous, especially at their home, where they are strong. We will have to be alert and not relax."
