Fleetwood vs Doncaster preview - McLaughlin back with Fleet

Northern Ireland international Conor McLaughlin will return to club duty when Fleetwood host Doncaster.

McLaughlin started both of his country's 2-0 wins over the Faroe Islands and Greece during a memorable week for Michael O'Neill's men, and his return should see Stephen Crainey switch back to a more comfortable left-back berth.

Although he will return, experienced midfielders Jeff Hughes (broken leg) and Keith Southern (hernia) are still being treated with caution despite playing for Fleetwood's development squad lately - although the former is very close - while Jamille Matt (leg) is out for the season.

Nathan Pond (ankle) has undergone a full week of training and could return for the Cod Army, who will be hoping to preserve an unbeaten run in the league at Highbury which stretches back to February.

Doncaster boss Paul Dickov will decide whether Curtis Main is ready to make his long-awaited return.

Main has not been involved since suffering a knee injury against Port Vale in August but the striker has been back in training for a few weeks now.

Dean Furman played in South Africa's 0-0 draw with Congo on Wednesday night and will not be able to train with Rovers until Friday, so Richie Wellens, Paul Keegan and Marc De Val Fernandez look likely to keep their places in midfield at Highbury.

Centre-half Rob Jones is still nursing his knee injury and the trip will come too soon for the Doncaster captain.
