MANCHESTER CITY star Yaya Toure is at the centre of a furious backlash from fans for his reaction to his side's Champions League defeat in Munich.

ROW: Toure has infuriated City fans

Toure has angered his own supporters after embracing Bayern boss Pep Guardiola at the final whistle of City's 1-0 defeat in the Allianz Arena.

The Ivory Coast midfielder could be seen laughing and joking with Guardiola on the touchline while the rest of his team-mates trooped off stunned following Jerome Boateng's 90th minute winner on Wednesday.

Now fans have taken to Twitter to slam Toure's attitude and accuse him of not caring.

Another supporter said: "What's with Yaya Toure laughing and joking with Pep at the end there??

"Should have pulled ya finger out tonight instead! Certainly not funny".

It is another blow to Toure, who is struggling to convince people he is still committed to the Premier League champions.

Toure, who is City's highest-paid star on £220,000-a-week, had a spectacular fall out with club bosses in May over his birthday.

Toure's agent Dimitri Seluk accused the club of not showing the ex-Barcelona star enough respect by failing to celebrate the occasion on a post-season trip to Abu Dhabi.

The bizarre row led to speculation Toure wanted to leave, but club bosses stood firm and refused to sell him or offer him a new and improved deal.

Toure has made a mediocre start to the new season and was forced to miss last weekend's crunch clash at Arsenal because he was late returning to Manchester from international duty.

Now his behaviour in Munich has added more fuel to the fire over the debate about whether or not Toure wants to remain at the Etihad Stadium long term.
