Brechin vs Ayr preview - Brechin missing quartet

Injuries continue to hamper Brechin's attempts to end their dismal run of form as Ayr arrive at Glebe Park.

Paul McLean (hamstring), Ewan Moyes (ankle), Garry Kenneth (hamstring) and Andy Jackson (illness) will all miss the clash for City, who are without a win since February and have lost six of their last seven.

Manager Ray McKinnon said: "We need a win to boost everyone about the club and if we play like we can then we can get one. We played well against Rangers two weeks ago and then played well against Dunfermline last week and if we can hit those standards we can get the three points.

"If we can keep Michael Moffat quiet then we have a good chance."

Ayr are without Michael Donald, who serves the second game of a two-match suspension, but Kevin Kyle is expected to feature despite requiring stitches to close up a shin injury.

Robbie Crawford remains out with a groin injury as Mark Roberts looks for a response from his players following last weekend's 3-2 defeat to Stenhousemuir.

Roberts said: "We had the game won before a crazy last few minutes cost us two goals and a great advantage in the race for a play-off place.

"We now need to win at Brechin to make up for that and we will go out looking to do that."
