Airdrie United vs Brechin City preview - Diamonds duo back in contention

Bottom-of-the-table Airdrie will have Darren McCormack and Gregor Buchanan back in their squad after suspension for the home game against Brechin.

But Jamie Bain is banned and long-term absentees Chris O'Neill (groin), Grant Drummond (knee) and John Boyle (knee) remain sidelined as the Diamonds look to extend their three-game unbeaten run.

Manager Gary Bollan said: "The last time we played Brechin we were 3-0 down and levelled to make it 3-3 in injury time.

"We then lost a goal straight from the kick-off and went home with nothing.

"I reckon we have improved since then, so this will be a test of that improvement."

Brechin have signed former Dundee United defender Garry Kenneth on a short-term deal and he is in line to make his debut.

But Alan Trouten remains sidelined due to a knee injury.

Manager Ray McKinnon said: "We've won four out of our last five games and that's the type of form that will get us into the play-offs.

"The one game we lost was against Rangers, but we played well that day.

"The last time we played Airdrie it was a bit crazy and I will settle for a 1-0 this time as they are fighting for their lives well."
