Stranraer 3 : 1 Airdrie United - Three and easy for Blues

Stranraer leapfrogged Stenhousemuir into third in Scottish League One with a comfortable 3-1 win over bottom club Airdrie at Stair Park.
The hosts wasted no time in getting themselves in front and had visiting keeper Scott Gallagher to thank when he fumbled Mark Docherty's effort and left Martin Grehan with a straightforward header to open the scoring.
The Blues continued to dominate and doubled their lead just before the break when Sean Winter pounced after Andrew Stirling's initial shot was blocked.
Despite being second-best throughout, Airdire threw themselves a lifeline just after the interval when some poor Stranraer defending allowed Martin Hardie time to tuck the ball in the bottom corner from inside the area.
That proved to be a false dawn though as visiting keeper Gallagher gifted Stephen Aitken's men all three points when he palmed Stirling's shot into his own net.
