Rib injury deepens Casillas' woes

Real Madrid coach Carlo Ancelotti has been forced into making an early change in the first half of his side's Champions League clash against Galatasaray in Istanbul.
Just 14 minutes into his big return and Iker Casillas was forced off through injury, making way for Diego López after Sergio Ramos accidentally elbowed him in the ribs.
This was Casillas' first competitive Real Madrid appearance for 238 days, having ironically been laid low last season by another collision with a teammate. On that occasion, Álvaro Arbeloa inadvertently kicked the goalkeeper in the hand during a 'Copa del Rey' game in Valencia.
Lady luck has not been smiling on Iker recently, at least at club level. The shotstopper has suffered not one, but two unusual injuries and has found himself on the bench for practically the last year.
