It’s over to Roo, Moyes

ALEX FERGUSON happily washed his hands of the Wayne Rooney problem and told David Moyes: “You can deal with it now.”
Fergie takes charge of his 1,500th and last game as Manchester United boss tomorrow — against West Brom — and once again Rooney will not take part after asking to leave.
Asked why Rooney wanted to go, Fergie said: “I have no idea. It is not my department. I am no longer interested in that.
“David is going to deal with that. Quite rightly he wants to deal with that and I’m happy with that.”
Rooney asked to quit United for a second time after they had secured their 20th title.
The striker, 27, had grown restless over being axed, subbed and played out of position.
Roo first asked for a move back in October 2010. He was talked round by Ferguson then and signed a new five-year deal.
But it is clear now that the retiring boss has grown tired of Rooney. There have been no moves to offer him a new contract with just two years left on his present deal.
United would entertain offers of £25million, with Paris Saint-Germain most interested in taking him.
Roo is set to meet his former Everton boss next week.
But Moyes will trigger his release unless he gets a firm message that the player is fully committed to the club.
RIO FERDINAND, 34, will sign a one-year extension to his United deal next week.
