Jupp 'n at 'em! Bayern boss bitter at making way for Pep JUPP HEYNCKES may have masterminded one of the greatest triumphs in the history of Bayern Munich — but is clearly a bitter man.

The German boss does not miss an opportunity to embarrass the Bayern hierarchy for the shoddy way he was shunted aside to bring in Pep Guardiola at the end of the season.

In public, Bayern chiefs claimed Heynckes, 67, wanted to retire so they planned ahead with Pep — yet he dismissed it as a load of bull.

Before facing Barcelona, Heynckes was asked by Spanish journalists whether he sought advice from his successor about Barcelona.

Heynckes said: “I categorically said I don’t need info from anyone — I know Barcelona as well as my team.”

But will he leave as a failure if he does not win the Treble, having already taken the Bundesliga crown with an all-time points record?

Heynckes added: “When a team like Bayern is playing at such a high level as we are right now, I think any manager would leave from the front door, regardless of whether we win the German Cup or Champions League.”

After his team destroyed Barcelona 4-0 at the Allianz Arena on Tuesday in the first leg of their semi-final, Heynckes had another dig.

He said: “You’ve got to know: How is the opponent going to play?

“I analysed that and had a Powerpoint presentation for the players to see all the moves they make.

“My boys implemented the plan fantastically.”

The German’s message was simple. Bayern replaced him with the former boss of Tuesday’s rivals, largely credited as their architect — and this is what he did to Pep’s brainchild. Heynckes may well win the Champions League and be, essentially, sacked. Could he be the only manager who has ever been sacked immediately after winning the Champions League?

Munich could also be at war with Borussia Dortmund, needing special security measures.

No, not at Wembley for the Champions League final. But at Dortmund’s historic Westfalenstadion — and spare me the sponsored name of Signal Iduna Park for Borussia’s brilliant venue, whose fans create possibly the greatest atmosphere in European football.

The two face each other on Saturday in a dead-rubber of a derby, as Bayern have already wrested Dortmund’s title weeks ago.

Security will be reinforced after Dortmund superstar Mario Goetze’s £31.5million capture by Bayern — and also the pursuit of their star striker Robert Lewandowski.

We have seen the best and worst of Bayern this week.

Their Barcelona bashing was superb. Off the pitch, president Uli Hoeness admitted tax-evasion — and announcing Goetze’s transfer was seen as a double-edged ploy.

First to get Hoeness off the headlines — and second to destabilise Dortmund.

Snatching Goetze is seen as much a strengthening of their team as it is weakening Dortmund. Ditto Lewandowski.

Not to mention that God only knows what will be going through the minds of both should they face Bayern at Wembley.

CARLO ANCELOTTI’S revenge on Paris Saint-Germain must feel so sweet.

The former Chelsea boss is about to deliver PSG’s first title in 19 years — just their third ever — and is also on the verge of joining Real Madrid to replace Jose Mourinho.

Earlier in the season, Ancelotti endured months of intense speculation that PSG were chasing Mourinho to be their boss for next season.

Between November and January, stories linking the Special One to PSG were appearing regularly and Ancelotti had to field a lot of awkward questions about his future.

Now the situation has come full circle and the Italian holds all the aces.

The only reason Mourinho got the Bernabeu gig in the first place was because Ancelotti had agreed to take charge of Chelsea before Florentino Perez won the 2009 presidential election and returned as Real supremo.

Perez wanted Ancelotti but he was unavailable so Real turned to Manuel Pellegrini.

A year later, Ancelotti had won the Double at Chelsea and stayed on at the Bridge, so Perez opted for Mourinho, who had just won the Champions League with Inter.

Perez has wanted to sign Ancelotti since 2004 but the former Milan boss always turned down Real’s advances to stay at the San Siro.

A Real insider said: “Ancelotti is everything that Mourinho isn’t.

“He knows how to manage a star-studded dressing room and doesn’t care if the stars get the credit and the limelight.

“He creates a relaxed atmosphere and his man- management skills are second to none.”

Now a saga that started almost a decade ago is about to come to an end.

ALEX SONG left Arsenal for Barca because he was versatile and could play central in both defence and midfield.

But this week boss Tito Vilanova preferred the inexperienced Marc Bartra at centre-half in the absence of injured Carles Puyol and Javier Mascherano — and when they faced Bayern.

And he didn’t even use Sergio Busquets in defence as Pep Guardiola did in the past, which would have allowed Song a place in midfield.

Song signed for £16million but it seems the Nou Camp grass is not greener. But he can argue he will be a Liga champion as early as next week.

ATLETICO MADRID boss Diego Simeone said he wants to win the derby that matters — after losing to Real 2-1 in Saturday’s La Liga clash at the Vicente Calderón Stadium.

He means the Spanish Cup final on May 17, where the two rivals face each other.

But Jose Mourinho has won all EIGHT of his Madrid derbies since 2010 — six in La Liga and two in the Spanish Cup.

Atletico have not beaten Madrid since 1999 in any competition.

It looks like Simeone’s got his job cut out.

IF Chelsea go on to win the Europa League and Bayern Munich win the Champions League at Wembley on May 25 and Jose Mourinho finally pitches back up at Stamford Bridge, he will rekindle his feud with incoming Bayern boss Pep Guardiola sooner than expected.

For the Special One and the celebrated former Barcelona coach will face each in UEFA’S European Super Cup in August.

As they say, football is a funny old game.
