Brechin City 2 : 1 Ayr Utd. - Brechin run goes on
Posted Saturday, March 23, 2013 by PA
Brechin extended their unbeaten run to 11 league matches with a 2-1 win over 10-man Ayr.
The hosts took the lead in the 15th minute when Derek Carcary finished from the edge of the box after some good work by Gary Fusco.
They doubled the advantage four minutes later when Alan Trouten rose highest to head home David McKenna's cross.
McKenna could have put them out of reach moments later but was unlucky to see his effort come back off a post.
The visitors pulled a goal back just after the hour mark when Liam Buchanan was well placed to convert Michael Donald's cross.
But their comeback hopes were dealt a blow when Neil McGregor was shown a second yellow card with 15 minutes remaining for a challenge on Trouten.
