Manchester United defender Nemanja Vidic is glad to be able to have a break in the crucial run-in of the season.
The 31-year-old retired from international football after failing ot qualify for Euro 2012 with Serbia, which means that he will be one of the few United players reporting back to training while the others train with their countries for the international fixtures.
After starting only 18 games for United this season due to fitness and injury issues, Vidic is glad to have the week back in training to prepare for the season run-in.
"The international break is good for me," Nemanja told MUTV after Saturday's 1-0 win over Reading. "During the 10 days, I can work on my individual stuff like fitness and other technical things.
"It is also always good to have a few days for yourself. When you have lots of games, like we have recently, you just manage yourself until the next one and you don't work on.
Vidic's defensive partner Rio Ferdinand has also announced that he will withdraw from the England squad in order to keep to his fitness schedule at the club.
