DAVID BECKHAM has warned Manchester United that Cristiano Ronaldo will be inspired by Old Trafford next week.
Real Madrid superstar Ronaldo heads back to his former club on Tuesday in the second leg of the Champions League last-16 showdown.
It will be his first visit since he left in 2009.
Beckham had to wait seven years before returning to Old Trafford when he played for AC Milan.
The former England star said: “When you go back, you enjoy the occasion, of course, and I am sure it will inspire Cristiano.
“Many things inspire great players and him going back will be a special night for him.
“The fans love him and it will be a great occasion.”
United drew 1-1 in the first leg in Spain and Beckham admitted: “United did very well at the Bernabeu and I am sure they will do very well at Old Trafford.
“It will be a great game to watch. It is hard to say who will win. Two great teams with great players.”
And Becks could stay at Paris Saint-Germain after the summer.
His deal was thought to run out at the end of the season.
Asked whether it definitely ends in May, he said: “Not yet it doesn’t.”
