The 26-year-old has insisted he is not concerned by the threat of Premier League relegation, claiming Paul Lambert's side have simply been unlucky so far this season
Aston Villa forward Gabriel Agbonlahor has claimed his side simply need "a bit more luck" to avoid relegation from the Premier League this season.
Paul Lambert’s men are currently two points adrift of safety, having embarked on an eight-game winless run following their 3-1 victory over Liverpool at Anfield on December 15.
And, despite the Villans having also recently suffered embarrassing domestic cup exits at the hands of Bradford and Millwall, the club's longest-serving player is confident of a turnaround.
"I'm not more worried [than previously]. Previous seasons have been tough and this season is the same,” Agbonlahor told reporters.
"The teams that have come up have been better than in recent years. But I feel we've been unlucky and just need a bit more luck.
“Once that changes we will start to win more games than we lose.
"Are we thinking about relegation? No, it's not in anyone's mind. We know there will be shock results between now and the end of the season. We just have to get the results we need."
