SUPERSTAR singer Shakira' son is cradled tenderly by his Barcelona ace father Gerard Pique in the first official photo of him.

The snaps show little Milan - the couple's first child - getting a kiss from his 26-year-old dad.

In place of gifts, the couple have asked fans to donate money to children's charity Unicef.

They explained: "We hope that, in his name, other less-privileged children in the world can have their basic needs covered through gifts and donations.

"Thank you for sharing this unforgettable moment with us."

She Wolf singer Shakira, 36, gave birth to the little lad in late January in a hospital in Barcelona and gave him the full name Milan Pique Mebarak.

The family are now spending time together at their home in the Spanish city.

Even before the birth, the couple had encouraged fans to take part in a "virtual baby shower", purchasing vital supplies for needy babies around the world.

Asking people to buy mosquito nets, polio vaccines and baby weighing scales, Shakira explained: “Every expectant parent around the world shares all the same hopes and dreams for their children that we do.

“Yet many don’t share the same opportunities. Together we know we can change that.”

And explaining her baby’s name, Shakira said: “It means dear, loving and gracious in Slavic; in Ancient Roman, eager and laborious; and in Sanskrit, unification.

“Just like his father, baby Milan became a member of FC Barcelona at birth.”
