Cristiano Ronaldo set to alert Manchester United by rejecting Real Madrid contract extension

Cristiano Ronaldo left Manchester United in 2009
The club have offered the 27-year-old a contract extension, which would keep him at the Bernabeu until 2018, with his wages increasing by 50 per cent to 15 million euros a year, but it remains unlikely the two parties will be able to strike a deal.
Both Manchester United and French side PSG are thought to be keen on Ronaldo’s signature and the former United player will be returning to his old club in the new year, when they face Real Madrid in the Champions League.
