Sam Allardyce urges England caution over Andy Carroll’s return

SAM ALLARDYCE last night urged Roy Hodgson to go easy on star striker Andy Carroll.
England boss Hodgson saw Carroll return from a month out with a hamstring injury as a sub in West Ham’s 2-1 win at QPR.
Carroll could feature when Hodgson names his squad on Thursday for the World Cup qualifiers against San Marino and Poland.
But boss Allardyce warned: “Andy’s woefully short of match practice — I’m sure Roy will deal with that in the right way.”
