Hamilton will give a debut to on-loan Motherwell defender Jonathan Page against in-form Dunfermline, with both sides looking to build on good performances but disappointing results against SPL sides in midweek.

The Accies are again without strikers Jon McShane and Kieran Miller through injury, but Stevie May is available after missing out against St Mirren in midweek.

Manager Billy Reid said: "I went and watched Dunfermline against Aberdeen on Wednesday and they put in a terrific performance. Like us at Paisley they lost to an injury-time goal but there were plenty of positives for both sides from these games.

"If we can start the way we did against St Mirren then we have a very good chance of getting that first win of the season."

Dunfermline have Andy Geggan struggling for the trip as the midfielder suffered a dead leg in Wednesday night's cruel 1-0 defeat against Aberdeen in the Scottish Communities League Cup.

Josh Falkingham should overcome a thigh strain he sustained against the Dons to feature, with only Chris Kane ruled out at this stage due to his ankle injury.

East End Park assistant boss Gerry McCabe said: "Although it was a disappointing result it was a terrific performance where we did everything but score.

"If we keep playing like that then goals will come. We will need to play well as I watched Hamilton the other night at St Mirren and they played at a really high level, so this will be a difficult game."
