Lazio are one of three sides to lead the way with 100 per cent records in Serie A thanks to their comfortable 3-0 win over Palermo.

The Roman club were grateful to the predatory instincts of Germany striker Miroslav Klose, who bookended a win which also included a strike from Antonio Candreva.

Vladimir Petkovic's men were rarely troubled by a disappointing Palermo side who were turned over by Napoli last weekend and appear set for a season of struggle.

The writing was on the wall from the off tonight, with Abdoulai Konko whistling an early effort over, although Nicola Bertolo did go close with a lob for the visitors.

They rarely got a look in after that, though, with the deadly Klose opening the scoring after 39 minutes, taking in a cross from Alvaro Gonzalez and finding the bottom corner from close range.

Giuseppe Biava tried to make it two after the break but dragged just wide, while Candreva missed an open goal as the pressure was turned up.

The tide became too strong to hold back, though, and Candreva did get his goal with 56 minutes gone, finding the top right-hand corner from outside the box.

Hernanes then looked to make it three but could not keep his 18-yard strike down, but it mattered little as Klose finished things off with eight minutes left, taking Senad Lulic's cross on his chest, turning and drilling into the bottom corner.
