According to AS, Real Madrid manager Jose Mourinho watched Brazil's friendly win over Denmark to scout Sao Paulo's Lucas.
Juvenal Juvencio, president of Sao Paulo, previously revealed that his Real Madrid counter-part Florentino Perez has been in contact regarding Lucas. Now with Mourinho's appearance at the Imtech Arena, speculation has been fuelled that Los Blancos will be making their move for the Sao Paulo starlet this summer.
Although Mourinho's spokesman, Eladio Parames refused to reveal why the Portuguese was in Hamburg for the friendly, he did not refute the manager's presence in the stands. Lucas started for his country and featured in 82 minutes of the match before he was substituited for Giuliano.
Recent reports indicate that Chelsea and Inter Milan have made offers for the attacking midfielder, but these have been turned down by Sao Paulo management. Lucas is currently contracted at the club till 2015, and Sao Paulo are unwilling to let the player leaving without a substantial transfer fee.
