Sergio Ramos declared himself delighted at adding another La Liga crown to his collection with Real Madrid and insisted he will do his utmost to hold onto the trophy this time.
Los Blancos won their 32nd league title with a 3-0 win over Athletic Bilbao on Wednesday evening, and the Spain international promised to exercise caution with their prize.
"I am looking forward to going to Cibeles and holding the trophy, but I will take care not to drop it," joked an elated Ramos to the press after the game.
"This is football. We're very happy, after such a difficult league against an extraordinary Barca. [It was a] very demanding, long season.
"Madrid are deserved winners, we dedicate this to all the Madridistas.
"It has a lot of merit because it's a long season and there are a lot of competitions. It's my third league and I'm very happy."
Madrid were crowned as champions with two games to spare and will face Granada at the Santiago Bernabeu this weekend in what is sure to be a jubilant occasion.
