Sami Khedira: Real Madrid midfielder has been linked with a move to Chelsea in January
Chelsea manager Andre Villas-Boas has dismissed reports he is planning January bids for Real Madrid midfielder Sami Khedira and Barcelona striker David Villa.
Villas-Boas brought the likes of Juan Mata and Raul Meireles to Stamford Bridge in the summer and is tipped to continue his squad overhaul in the New Year.
Germany international Khedira has been mooted as a target for Villas-Boas to bolster a midfield that has been shorn of the services of the injured Michael Essien this season.
Spanish ace Villa has also been linked with a move to the Premier League as Villas-Boas prepares to freshen up his attack.
Nicolas Anelka is expected to leave next month, while fellow strikers Didier Drogba and Salomon Kalou are out of contract at the end of the season.
However, Villas-Boas has ruled out making bids for either player when the transfer window reopens as he does not expect Real or Barcelona to be prepared to sell.
"Khedira is not true and Villa I think is almost impossible," said Villas-Boas.
"This is a player that cost Barcelona 40million and is one of their most used players, so I don't think these players are available in the market."
