Diego Forlan: Cannot wait to play for club and country again
Inter Milan striker Diego Forlan is fighting to return from injury as soon as possible.
The experienced forward has been nursing a muscular strain which he picked up in Uruguay's 1-1 draw with Paraguay in a World Cup qualifier earlier this month.
The former Atletico Madrid star has not set a date for his comeback but he is eager to get back on the pitch as soon as his club let him.
The injury has hampered Forlan's ability to make an impact since his summer move from Atletico, but he feels he is settling in well at the San Siro.
"I am recovering and doing lots of physiotherapy so that I can soon return to the pitch as this is my main objective now." Forlan said to La Gazzetta dello Sport.
"I have not been here very long, but I have adapted well. I am happy in Milan and it was nice to swap it for Madrid.
"Things are going well, we have some great players at Inter and they helped me to settle."
