Former Real Madrid striker Ronaldo says he expects Internacional forward Leandro Damiao to score many goals for the Brazil national team in the future.
The 22-year-old is widely regarded as one of his country's most promising attackers, with his 37 goals in all competitions this season earning him a regular place in Brazil's set-up.
Damiao has made four senior appearances to date with the national team, scoring his first goal in the 1-0 friendly victory over Ghana last month, and has been targeted by Tottenham, while a host of other European clubs are rumoured to be interested in signing the player.
Asked about his opinion on the forward, Ronaldo told ESPN Brazil: "He is a terrific player with a lot of quality.
"He is very good in aerial play, which I never was. I think that, with time, he will impose himself and we will see him score many goals."
Damiao has been ruled out of Brazil's upcoming games against Costa Rica and Mexico as he continues to recover from a hamstring injury.
