Partick Thistle will be without the long-term injured pair of Scott Robertson and Willie Kinniburgh as they welcome First Division leaders Morton.
Midfielder Iain Flannigan is a doubt with a back injury and striker Kris Doolan could miss out because of illness.
Firhill manager Jackie McNamara said: "This is a great game for us to show what we can do against a good Morton side.
"We may have lost at Livingston last week but we put in a good performance and if we play like that again, and a get a break in front of goal, this is a game we can win."
Morton striker Paul Di Giacomo returns following a back injury, however midfielder Michael Tidser will miss out because of a knock to his knee.
Manager Allan Moore will make a late check on David O'Brien, who has been ill this week, with the Cappielow boss hoping that central defender Stuart McCafferty overcomes a heel problem in time to feature.
Moore said: "I do not like chopping and changing our defence too much so I would like to have Stuart available.
"I ask the players to win the home games and take something from the away ones. If we win I will have a great weekend, as we will head into the international break at the top of the league."
