Frank Lampard roars back for Chelsea

Frank Lampard bounced back in typical style last night. The Chelsea midfielder, restored to the team after missing out at the weekend, put his side ahead in Valencia last night.

He fired home a first-time shot after being set up by Florent Malouda. But the home side grabbed a late equaliser from the spot through Roberto Soldado after Salomon Kalou handled an 87th minute corner.

Arsenal’s young guns were the inspiration behind their narrow win against Greek outfit Olympiacos. Alex Chamberlain and Andre Santos put them 2-0 up in 20 minutes.

But Arsene Wenger’s side had to survive a series of scares after David Fuster headed the visitors back into contention just before the half hour.
