Pepe (L): The Portuguese centre-back has been sidelined along with Coentrao
Real Madrid have announced that Fabio Coentrao and Pepe have been sidelined with injuries but have not disclosed the time for which the Portuguese pair will be out of action.
Both the players picked up muscle strains during their 1-0 defeat to Levante in Valencia in the Primera Liga on Sunday evening.
Medical tests carried out on Monday revealed the injuries on the players' left legs, but nothing definite has been stated on how long Coentrao and Pepe will be missing out on football activities.
It now looks that the Portugal internationals, who are regular first-choice players for coach Jose Mourinho, will miss Wednesday's league fixture away at Racing Santander.
