Nigeria beats Madagascar 2-0 in African qualifying

Captain Joseph Yobo and Obinna Nsofor scored second-half goals to give Nigeria a vital 2-0 win over Madagascar in African Cup of Nations qualifying on Sunday.
Yobo, playing his 82nd international match, converted John Obi Mikel’s corner in the 68th minute before Nsofor sealed the win with a spectacular long-range shot in the 75th.
Nigeria is second on 10 points in the Group B standings. Guinea leads by three points after a 1-0 win over Ethiopia on Sunday. The group winner will be decided when Nigeria hosts Guinea next month.
Ethiopia, with four points, and Madagascar, with one, cannot qualify.
