Sneijder: Was in demand this summer but stayed put
Inter Milan director Marco Branca has admitted there were several clubs interested in signing Wesley Sneijder this summer.
Sneijder recently admitted there was an approach from Manchester United, while Carlos Tevez's agent Kia Joorabchian claimed Man City offered his client as part of a swap deal with Inter.
But Branca insists the Italian outfit did not receive a firm bid for Sneijder, who is under contract at the San Siro until 2015.
And, while the Holland international was flattered to be linked with some of Europe's top teams, Branca stresses he was not looking to leave Inter.
"There was various interest for Sneijder, but no concrete offers came our way," he told La Repubblica.
"He is happy regarding the interest from these clubs, who are as strong as Inter, but he was happy to stay here.
"Inter are also happy that he stayed as we have a great player in our squad who is wanted by the biggest clubs."
Sneijder, 27, is currently with the Holland squad preparing for their Euro 2012 qualifier against San Marino.
