AC Milan have reportedly held talks with Real Madrid over a possible deal for Kaka.
The 29-year-old, who has also been linked with a move to Chelsea, enjoyed great success at the San Siro before moving to the Spanish giants two years ago, where he has struggled for form.
Milan CEO Adriano Galliani said last weekend that re-signing the Brazilian would be "an impossible task," but coach Massimiliano Allegri earlier this week refused to rule out a move for the playmaker.
And according to Marca, Galliani has met with Real Madrid president Florentino Perez in China this week to discuss a possible deal.
Kaka is believed to be prefer a return to Italy rather than move to the Premier League despite interest from Chelsea, while Manchester City are also rumoured to be monitoring developments at the Bernabeu.
Milan are in China to take on rivals Inter in Saturday's Italian Super Cup, while Real are in the country for a pre-season friendly with Tianjin Teda.
