Carolina Morace has resigned as coach of the Canadian women’s soccer team, which failed to win a game at the World Cup.
The Canadian Soccer Association says the Italian handed in her resignation Wednesday after an internal review of the team’s performance at the World Cup. The sixth-ranked Canadians exited after the first round of the World Cup in Germany.
The association says it expects to have a new coach in place this fall, before the start of Olympic qualifying in January.
