She may have been Sheila Williams, the burly and tough sister who is responsible for her siblings, on the show Friday Night Lights, but McCauley was involved in sports long before her acting career began.
Given a full scholarship to play basketball at Rice University, where she got her B.A. as well, Whitney had the athletic part accomplished.
