Giuseppe Rossi could be a summer target for Barcelona
Gerard Pique admits he would like to see Italian striker Giuseppe Rossi join Barcelona.
The defender played alongside Rossi during his time at Manchester United and he admits the 24-year-old would be 'very welcome' at Camp Nou.
Speculation has been rife in the Spanish media that 'El Bambino' is a firm target for head coach Pep Guardiola.
However, there have been no firm bids and Villarreal president Fernando Roig has stated that the La Liga outfit have received no formal approach.
The Yellow Submarine qualified for next season's UEFA Champions League and are keen to hold onto their best players to compete both domestically and in Europe.
Talent
Rossi still has four years left on his current deal but Pique admits it would be a pleasure to link up with him once again.
The Spain International said: "We arrived at Old Trafford at the same time and we were in the same team for a few years.
"He has loads of talent. He knows how to go long, come short, he has a good touch, and he is very quick.
"As a person he is ten out of then. He would be very welcome."
Pique was speaking at the launch of the Nike Tiempo Legend IV Elite boot.
