TEHRAN, Iran (AP)—A brace from striker Igor Castro helped Iranian club Zobahan reach the Asian Champions League quarterfinals Wednesday with a 4-1 victory over Saudi Arabia’s Al Nassr.
Zobahad midfielder Mohammad Qazi opened the scoring in the first minute, and Castro followed it up with a close-range strike just five minutes later.
Castro scored again in the 63rd to make it 3-0 before Al Nassr pulled a goal back through Badr Al-Motava in the 67th. But eight minutes later, midfielder Shahin Kheiri sealed the win with a long-range goal and make Zobahan the second Iranian side in the quarters along with Foolad Sepahan.
