Levante vs Zaragoza preview - Aguirre confident of survival

Zaragoza coach Javier Aguirre is convinced his side will secure Primera Division survival with a win at Levante in the last round of the championship on Saturday.

Zaragoza start the day 18th in the table without control of their own destiny, but a win will give the Aragonese outfit a very good chance of staying up.

Five other teams - Deportivo La Coruna, Getafe, Osasuna, Real Sociedad and Mallorca - are also in danger of following Almeria and Hercules into the Segunda Division and Aguirre believes his team can survive.

He said: "I have a lot of confidence in my team and I believe we have a great chance of winning the game.

"The group is trained to deal with the pressure. I see the players every day in training and I believe they look in good shape."

Around 8,000 Zaragoza fans are expected to travel to Valencia for the crucial clash and defender Maurizio Lanzaro says the support is a real boost for the relegation-threatened side.

"When I saw the line for tickets, I got emotional," he said. "We have to win it for the fans."

Diogo is set to return from injury for Zaragoza.

Levante, meanwhile, are finally safe after last weekend's goalless draw at city rivals Valencia.

That has led to speculation that the promoted side will receive money from other clubs to either lose or win tomorrow's match.

"Whatever the result, there will be suspicion," president Quico Catalan said.

"But the game is a party for our fans and we want to celebrate what we have achieved - we have a clear conscience."
